Giora Feidmann: Gershwin & The Klezmer CD Track Listing
Giora Feidmann
Gershwin & The Klezmer
The word Klezmer derives from two Hebrew words "Kli" and\n"Zemer" and means "an instrument of song".\n\nThis recording establishes a universal musical link between\nthe great George Gershwin, the spirit of the Klezmer and the\nunique musical expressiveness of Maestro Giora Feidmann.\nThe affinity that binds these three together, is their genius, \neach to be an instrument of song expressing their own \n'inner voice'.\nWhen asked, Maestro Feidmann says "I am not a performer\nor a clarinet player, I am a singer who sings through his\nclarinet". His artistry has inspired many composers througout\nthe world to write new melodies especially for him; a few\nof these new compositions are included in this recording.\n\nThe Giora Feidman Trio:\nGiora Feidman - clarinet\nAdam Rogers - guitar\nAntony Falanga - double bass\n\nSpecial guests:\nRoberto Pansera - bandoneon\nManny Katz - guitar\nBen Perowsky - drums\nAmir Halfon - percussion\n\nRecorded December 1990 at Rutgers Presbyterian Church, N.Y.\n
