A Cold Lake Christmas (2001)
The 4 Wing Band was officially established in 1982 as the CFB Cold Lake Voluntary Brass and Reed Band. Its purpose, then as now, was to provide economical musical support to the Air Force Base at Cold Lake, Alberta.\n Under the leadership of two professional military musicians - Sgt Jeff Gaye of 4 Wing Cold Lake and Sgt Sherry Gaye of 4 Air Reserve Flight - the Band's volunteer players support over 80 engagements annually, in addition to attending weekly rehearsals. The group is in constant demand locally, and has performed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon.\n Through this special recording - their first - the 4 Wing Band wishes everyone peace and happiness in the spirit of the season.\n Special thanks to:\nColonel Bill Cleland, Wing Commander; CWO Peter Stauffer, Wing Chief Warrant Officer; Wing Air Traffic Control Captain Steve Costello; and the 4 Wing Base Fund.\n - Recorded by Northern Digital Productions, Edmonton.\n - ISO booth by Chevrolet\n - Cover art by Jim Belliveau\n - "Forty Below" by Warren Roy, which depicts a cold evening in CFB Cold Lake's PMQ neighbourhood.
