Bert Blyleven, Television, Color Analyst\n\n This is the Dutchmen's seventh full season as a color commentator \nfor the Twins. Blyleven, who pitched in the major leagues for 23 years, including\n11 seasons with the Twins, retired following the 1992 season.\n\n As a Twins starter, Bert had 345 career starts and a combined record \nof 149-138, 3.28 ERA and still holds the club record for strikeouts (2,035),\nshutouts (29) and complete games (141). One of his most memorable moments \noccurred in 1977 as a member of the Texas Rangers. Bert tossed a no-hitter - \ndefeating California 6-0 at Anaheim Stadium.\n\n On baseball's all time list, Blyleven ranks fourth in strikeouts (3,701),\neighth in games started (685), ninth in shutouts (60), 13th in innings (4970),\nand 23rd in wins (287). He was voted A.L. Rookie Pitcher of the Year in 1970\nand A.L. Comeback Player of the Year in 1989. Bert pitched in two All-Starr Games,\nthree Championship series and two World Series with the Twins and Pirates.\n\n(Taken from the back of the CD case)
