In addition to America's "Red Rocks" and "Swiss Mountains", "Impression Liu Sanjie" is the third musical performance in the world with actual landscapes as its setting. Located in the city of Guilin, the focus of Liu Sanjie's legendary songs, "Impressions" uses nature as its backdrop. The setting consists of 12 mountain peaks and the stage is simply the water of the Lijiang River. The well-timed production, moving sound effects, colorful costumes, and performances by almost 1000 singers and dancers, creates a visual impact that is both a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Zhang Yimou is internationally renowned for his staging productions and directed performances for the closing of the 2004 Olympic Games.
